Traveling with TAAG?
Browse the menu below to check the main rules of this GOL partner airline:
For trips where the first segment is operated by GOL, check-in can be done at the GOL counter at the airport, through our website www.voegol.com.br, APP or kiosk/totem. If the first segment is operated by Taag, check-in can be done at the Taag counter or through the partner's website. Remember that you must be in possession of valid travel documents*, such as a valid passport, visas and vaccinations, if applicable.
*The passenger is accountable for all documentation (including visas and vaccinations). We recommend you to consult with the embassies of your destination countries to avoid any hassle.
Special Services To request special services, contact the call center of the airline operating the segment of your trip. The stricter rule will apply to the entire trip if the rules differ between airlines.
Seat Selection You can book your seat directly with the airline operating the first leg of your trip at check-in on the day of departure. If you have a connection, you will receive boarding passes for the subsequent segments with your seat already reserved.
The following baggage allowance applies for roundtrips where the first flight departs from South America:
The international baggage allowance will be honored by GOL only for flights issued on the same locator (e-ticket). For flights issued leg by leg (purchased separately), even with a partner company, the international baggage allowance will not be honored. In this case, the allowance for the segment purchased will apply.
It is not possible to purchase checked baggage in advance through digital channels. The purchase must be made directly at the counter of the airline operating the selected flight.
Paying for overweight baggage If you have overweight baggage, you can pay for it at the check-in.
Fragile items Fragile items are accepted as long as they are properly packed. However, if the product is damaged for any reason, the company is not responsible for reimbursing you. Check out the airline contract to learn more.
Perishables Perishable items are not accepted. For more information, please contact the consular or customs offices of the destination and transit countries.
Transport of items for infants (from 0 to 2 years of age) When traveling in their own (reserved) seat, infants are entitled to the same checked baggage allowance as an adult. If they are traveling on your lap, they can check in one piece of baggage up to 10 kg.
A complimentary allowance of 1 stroller (for use) and/or 1 baby carrier will be provided free of charge..
Baggage Claim If the passenger is coming from an international origin to a destination in Brazil, in case of connecting passengers, the baggage must be claimed at the first stop in the country (Brazil). After the obligatory customs procedures, the customer must go to the GOL counter to reclaim the baggage.
When traveling from Brazil to other countries, in the case of connecting passengers, the baggage must be collected at the first stop abroad. After the obligatory customs procedures, the customer must go to the counter of the next carrier to check in the baggage again.
Lost baggage In case of lost baggage, the last airline that transported the passenger is responsible for registering and monitoring the status of the baggage. If the baggage is lost during the connection between international flights and domestic GOL flights, the customer must file a claim with the airline that transported the baggage on the previous leg of the journey.
Damaged Baggage In the event of damaged baggage, the customer must contact the last carrier to open a baggage claim file. If damage is found on an international flight to a domestic GOL flight, the file should be opened with the carrier of the first leg.
Carry-on baggage One piece of carry-on baggage is allowed, not to exceed 55 cm in height, 40 cm in width and 25 cm in length, including pockets, wheels and handles, and not to exceed a total weight of 10 kg.
All electronics must be carried as carry-on items. Laptops, cameras, cell phones, camcorders and tablets must be screened through the airport's X-ray machine at the entrance to the departure lounge.
Valuables such as jewelry and cash must also be carried as carry-on items.
The following items are not allowed in carry-on baggage: bladed weapons, firearms, cartridges and ammunition for firearms, printer cartridges, bottles containing more than 100 ml of liquid, fuels, batteries with electrolytes, lithium batteries with a capacity of more than 160 Wh, fireworks, bombs, paints, chemicals and mercury thermometers.
If you don't show up for your flight (no-show) on a partner airline, call the GOL Customer Service Center (0800 704 0465) to request a refund based on the fare you purchased.
Requests for assistance for passengers with special needs must be made when booking the ticket or at least 72 hours prior to departure. For flights originating in Brazil, requests for special assistance, such as the need for a wheelchair, may be made at least 48 hours prior to departure.
Unaccompanied Minors Minors under 16 years of age cannot travel unaccompanied.
Infants Infants up to 1 year and 11 months of age pay 10% of the adult fare, but must travel on the lap of a responsible adult age 18 or older. Only one lap baby is permitted per customer.
Expectant Mothers Here are the guidelines for expectant mothers on Air Canada flights:
