Forms/Documents
The Surinam Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation announced on January 15, 2024 that visitors of 21 nationalities will be required to present a valid E-VISA to the airline prior to boarding. Without this document, customers will not be admitted to the territory of Suriname and will be denied boarding at the time of service. Countries affected by this change include Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Eritrea, Ghana, India, Cameroon, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tunisia, Venezuela, Zambia and South Africa.
Individuals holding passports from these countries are now required to obtain a visa before traveling to Suriname. To avoid inconvenience and delays upon arrival in the country, it is extremely important that the entry fee is paid in advance of travel. The E-VISA is available through the online application of VFS Global Suriname: https://suriname.vfsevisa.com/suriname/online/home/index.
It is important to note that the visa application process is subject to administrative evaluation and may take more than 72 hours to be issued. For this reason, it is recommended that you submit your visa application as far in advance of your intended travel dates as possible. Please note: Clients traveling to PBM must present the printed entry fee at the point of origin (check-in desk) to avoid any trouble with connecting flights and entry into the country.
Please notice: Passengers who do not have a return ticket are subject to rejection at immigration.
